France’s Industry of the Future companies resoundingly present at Hannover Messe

PRESS RELEASE - 24-avr.-2017 16:50:34

For the second consecutive year, France will be represented at Hannover Messe, from April 24-28 2017, in Hall 8 dedicated to “Digital Industry”, to show off the industrial know-how and creativity of French companies to international audiences, under the banner Créative Industry. It was in Hannover that the Créative Industry banner was first unveiled, the culmination of a closely-concerted effort with Alliance Industrie du Futur (AIF – National Network for Manufacturing Innovation) to showcase French industrial technology innovation through 7 technologies: digitization of the value chain, the role of people, new materials and composites, additive manufacturing, monitoring and control, energy efficiency, automation, workflow management and robotics. Won over by the success of the 2016 edition, the Grand Est Region and leading corporation Orange Business Services have confirmed participation in the fair again, at the same space. For this 2 nd edition, 2 new regions (Hauts-de-France and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) will be joining the Grand Est Region in the Créative Industry Area, a sprawling 350 m² space headed by Business France/AIF. Each region will be taking part alongside its solutions suppliers ( see detailed list below) . SMEs SAV RESO and Optim Data , which recently earned the AIF’s Technological Showcase label, will also be found at the Creative Industry space, as well companies AMA (connected glasses), Diota (augmented reality solutions) Monixo (predictive maintenance), and Cetim . In total, more than 70 French companies of all sizes will be able to show their capacity to provide innovative solutions, all along the value chain.    With the support of its international network, Business France will put together 4 days with 4 countries that have set out an Industrial Strategy for the Future, including Germany, the United States and China.   The aim is to create opportunities for interaction between French exhibitors and major principals or SMEs from the featured countries.   The French-German day, designed in partnership with SAP France and Bosch France , will offer the opportunity to extend the cooperation on the Industry of the Future, officialised in Hanover in 2016: digital standardisation, usage cases, scenarios and R&D platforms. The French-American Day, designed in partnership with the US Department of Commerce, will offer French and U.S. companies the opportunity to participate in one-on-one B2B meetings. Highlighting Industrial Excellence with the 2016 WNE Awards

PRESS - 23-mars-2016 20:59:48

From 28 to 30 June this year, the global civil nuclear energy community will gather at the World Nuclear Exhibition at Le Bourget for three industry-focused days with B2B meetings, panel discussions and exhibitor workshops, plus a tie-in programme of professional events and post- show site visits. This eagerly awaited second edition bringing together numerous international players will be a highlight in the industry calendar. With four months to go, 80% of the stand space is booked and we have almost reached our goal of a 50% increase on 2014, with over 30% new exhibitors – both French and international – and 15 international group stands. WNE, a showcase for international excellence The WNE Award “Progress is at the forefront of the nuclear industry’s concerns and we’re forging ahead, innovating all the time. That’s one reason we’re turning the spotlight on industrial excellence by rewarding the most important advances presented at the show. The Awards Ceremony is a new feature of the 2016 event”, comments Gérard Kottmann, President of WNE. The WNE Awards ceremony, opening the show on the first evening – Tuesday 28 June – will single out innovative projects in four key areas: §   Innovation in terms of product, process, marketing and organization. §   Nuclear safety  defined as the combined activities that make it possible to guarantee there will be no harmful effects on people or on the environment. §   Knowledge management as a multidisciplinary managerial policy, making it possible to identify, analyse, efficiently handle, share and preserve the knowledge of an organization’s members – both the knowledge built up by the business itself (marketing, research and development) and that acquired from external sources (business intelligence). §   Operational excellence  as a systematic and methodical approach to maximize safety and productivity, product quality and cost-savings, as well as overall performance. The 4 juries made up of distinguished international experts will be chaired by Bernard Bigot , Director-General of ITER (Innovation jury), William D. Magwood , Director-General of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) (Nuclear safety jury), David Drury , Technical Head of Management of Human Resources at the IAEA [1] (Knowledge management jury), and Jacques Regaldo , Chairman of WANO [2] (operational excellence jury). The Side Awards Tying in with the show, 4 side awards will turn the spotlight on innovation:   WiN Award : organized by Women in Nuclear Global – a non-profit association of women working in various fields of nuclear energy whose aim is to promote understanding of nuclear science and technology and awareness of the benefits of nuclear energy and its applications to women and the younger generation. During the association’s annual conference , the WiN Award will be given to a woman specializing in the field of nuclear energy on Wednesday 29 June at midday. www.win-global.org Fem’Energia Award : Since 2009 EDF, in partnership with WiN France, WiN Europe and the EDF Foundation has awarded the Fem’Energia prize to encourage and financially support women students and professionals passionate about the nuclear sector. The fem’Energia Prize will be awarded on Thursday 30 June at 12.30. www.win-france.org Spark! Contest , sponsored by Jean-Bernard Lévy, CEO of EDF, invites current students and graduates of French and British universities under the age of 28 to produce innovative thinking on an energy-related topic. This prize will be awarded on the last day, Thursday 30 June at midday www.thesparkcontest.org/the-spark-contest.html The Innovatome competition , open to students in all fields, this initiative of the Jeune Génération group of the French nuclear energy association, the Société Française d’Energie Nucléaire (SFEN JG), consists of highlighting innovations in three categories linked to societal development: digital, environmental transition and health/safety/wellbeing. Save the Date - World Nuclear Exhibition 2016

PRESS RELEASE - 11-déc.-2015 18:54:31

Save the date World Nuclear Exhibition moves to the summer 28 th to 30 th June 2016 at Paris Le Bourget – Hall 2B Following on from its successful launch, the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) will be held for the second time from 28 th to 30 th June 2016 at Paris Le Bourget, hall 2B. Larger and more international, it will occupy 50% more space and is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors from all around the world.   Highly international and business oriented, this biennial event covers the entire civil nuclear industry and will enable all those involved to present their know-how, to discuss experiences and best practices, to forge partnerships, to find new suppliers and to build their exports. “The civil nuclear industry in the global energy mix” is the theme of the second WNE . Extending the operating lives and maintaining existing power plants, new projects and future technologies, the fuel cycle, finance, skills and training… These are the key themes that will be addressed during the various events and high points that will take place during WNE 2016: the Awards Ceremony, panel discussions, exhibitor workshops followed by networking sessions, business meetings, side events for professionals and visits to industrial sites. New in 2016… Innovation and technologies at the heart of the event The nuclear industry is a high tech industry in which research and innovation play major roles. Being held for the second time, WNE will shine the spotlight on the companies that ensure the industry’s excellence by organizing a wide ranging support programme: Innovation Planet, dedicated to young, innovative companies from all over the world. An innovation competition, culminating in an awards ceremony , Meet the Experts, informal discussions with technical experts. Focus on training requirements and employment   Modelled on the 2014 “Business opportunities”, sessions will be offered to countries with specific training needs. Given that the industry requires highly qualified employees, it is not always easy for countries that are new entrants to nuclear power to ensure that they have the right human resources. The Training Planet and the Recruitment Village  are designed to respond to these needs. For complete information, please download the word document below:
