French Embassy in the United Kingdom

The French Embassy offers many services to its citizens and to residents of (or visitors to) the host country, like any embassy in the world. For his part, the French Ambassador in London is the personal envoy of the President of the Republic to the Court of St James. Appointed in the Council of Ministers, he represents the Head of State, the Government and all the Ministers. He directs the work of all the Embassy sections and French government agencies in the UK. The Ambassador informs the French government of what is going on in the UK, negotiates on France ’s behalf, watches over the development of bilateral relations in all fields, and ensures the protection of the interests of France and her nationals in the UK.

Created in 1883, The French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain (CCFGB) is part of a network of 115 French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abroad (FCCIA) with a combined membership base of more than 23,000 companies. Today, the largest Foreign Chamber in the UK in terms of both turnover and range of services offered as well as one of the top French Chambers worldwide, the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain counts more than 600 member companies.

Business France - The French Trade Commission in the UK  is the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy in the UK. It is responsible for fostering export growth by French businesses, as well as promoting and facilitating the UK’s investment in France. Business France promotes France’s companies, business image and nationwide attractiveness as an investment location, and also runs the VIE Programme in the UK.
