Atout France appoints PR and social media partners

Atout France, the France Tourism Development Agency, responsible for promoting France worldwide and developing France’s tourism economy, has appointed Publicist PR as its PR partner for a period of one year starting July 2017. Publicist PR is now undertaking all public relations work for the French tourism board for ASEAN’s markets (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia). First partnership for Valiram and Business France to promote France and French products

At KLIA & KLIA2 domestic terminals, Shoppers at The Valiram Group’s Flying Emporium stores have the chance to win a trip for two to Provence as part of a major consumer campaign, which runs from now until 4 August. Destination France is the first travel retail partnership between Business France and Valiram, promoting Provence as a travel destination in France. The shop-and-win campaign is open to shoppers at KLIA & KLIA2 who spend RM250 at Flying Emporium stores. The grand prize is a five-day, four-night stay at Club Med’s Opio in Provence, with return air tickets provided by Air France-KLM. Other prizes include four premium gift hampers containing French chocolates, fragrances and cosmetics. Esthetics International Group Berhad and the French beauty equipment company LPG have signed a distribution agreement

The distribution agreement was signed earlier this year between the whollyowned subsidiary of EIG (EIG Dermal Wellness) and LPG Systems (LPG) which grants the Malaysian company the exclusive right to sell and distribute LPG skin care equipment through the professional beauty and wellness market in Malaysia for a period of one year. The agreement enables EIG to further leverage and expand its distribution of professional skin care and beauty equipment through all appropriate distribution channels, including professional salons. Langkawi Cosmetic Island: a cluster development between Bioeconomy Corp and the France-based industry association, Cosmetic Valley

  Bioeconomy Corp (previously known as Biotech Corp) and Cosmetic Valley plan to develop the first cosmetics cluster in ASEAN. Named Langkawi Cosmetic Island (LCI), the project is estimated to cost up to RM 500 million and will start at the end of the year. Entirely devoted to bio-cosmeceuticals and wellness industries, this 300ha site will gather facilities that can cater for a variety of purposes, including manufacturing, packaging, formulation, product development as well as plantations of high-value ingredients.   With this partnership Malaysia is expected to become a leading actor in ASEAN as a raw material, halal beauty products and herbal cosmetics manufacturer. It aims for collaborative research, development and innovation activities between French and Malaysian SMEs, contributing to the global cosmetics market. From the 29 th May to 3 rd June 2016 a French Infrastructure Excellence trade mission was co-organized by BusinessFrance, BpiFrance and Société Générale. A delegation of 16 French companies were hosted by the respective Business France offices located in Singapore & Kuala Lumpur. Singapore and Malaysia are considered by recent surveys as the top 2 most attractive infrastructure markets in Asia, which resulted in decision to appoint the two nations as joint host countries for a French Infrastructure Excellence mission. The 16 French companies who were selected for the mission are experts in fields of infrastructure, with a focus on railways solutions, construction equipment and services, urban innovation and energy systems. The companies were selected by Business France (Trade Commission), Bpifrance, the French Public Investment Bank and by Société Générale, one of the leading financial Banking and services groups in Europe. The purpose of this mission was to highlight the potential areas of business between French companies and the Malaysian market, with the aim of creating new partnerships and collaborations in the near future. On the morning of 1 st June, the delegation was welcomed in Kuala Lumpur by His Excellency Mr. Christophe Penot, Ambassador of France and by Mr. Nasser El Mamoune, French Trade Commissioner and Director of Business France in Malaysia. After several key presentations on macroeconomic topics and cultural differences in Malaysia, a networking lunch was organized with members of various public agencies as well as key players in the infrastructure sector. The first two days of the mission were dedicated to Business meetings, and the second day ended with a business coaching session and a cocktail at the Residence of France.  The mission was a real success, with very promising results and a clear demonstration of the strong potential and value-add of French expertise in Malaysia and South-East Asia.

The French company In’Tech Medical acquires Ortho Solutions Sdn Bhd in an effort to best serve the Asia-Pacific orthopedics marketplace
