Decathlon is one of the world’s largest sporting goods retailers and it’s from France ! Today they launched their Malaysian online shopping website  and they have just announced on their Facebook page the opening of a second store on 31st of August  at USJ Subang.

First partnership for Valiram and Business France to promote France and French products

At KLIA & KLIA2 domestic terminals, Shoppers at The Valiram Group’s Flying Emporium stores have the chance to win a trip for two to Provence as part of a major consumer campaign, which runs from now until 4 August. Destination France is the first travel retail partnership between Business France and Valiram, promoting Provence as a travel destination in France. The shop-and-win campaign is open to shoppers at KLIA & KLIA2 who spend RM250 at Flying Emporium stores. The grand prize is a five-day, four-night stay at Club Med’s Opio in Provence, with return air tickets provided by Air France-KLM. Other prizes include four premium gift hampers containing French chocolates, fragrances and cosmetics. Decathlon opens its first store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

  The French leading sports equipment provider Decathlon inaugurated its first shop in Malaysia on the 26 th of May, following their openings in Thailand in 2015 and in Singapore, this year.   Located in Kuala Lumpur’s northwest suburbs in Sri Damansara, the new store covers more than 2 500m² dedicated to sports clothing and equipment. The store will provide to its customers “test zones”, allowing them to try the products before purchasing. Consumers will have the opportunity to discover new brands in Malaysia. In total, more than 90 000 products covering 60 sports including hiking, running, cycling, badminton and watersports will be available. At the same time, Decathlon also launched its e-shop for Malaysia.   Decathlon plans to open 60 stores within the next 10 years in Malaysia. On the first week, the French brand already registered more than 10 000 visitors, including 3 000 buyers. The French Nautical Industries Federation (FIN) aims to defend, represent and promote the different sectors of the French nautical industries both at home and abroad. The FIN currently has more than 600 members, representing more than 80% of the industry’s turnover. In contact with the authorities on the regional, national, and European level, the French Nautical Industries Federation assists and advises companies in legal, social, economic and technical issues, and plays a role in providing information to the public and media. At the international level, the FIN is a founder of the European Boating Industry. Founded in June 2009 and based in Brussels (Belgium), European Boating Industry represents the interests of the European leisure marine industry and its members. The Federation owns the Paris International Boat show, Cannes International Boat and Yacht Show, and Maritima, the trade show dedicated to the maritime and coastal economies. The FIN also runs coordinated actions, in partnership with Ubifrance, to facilitate the presence of its members in major or rapidly growing international boat shows. In addition, the FIN supports the Grand Pavois de La Rochelle and is also behind events such as the National get afloat weekend (Fête du Nautisme), contributing to the development and practice of water-based recreational activities. At environmental level, the FIN initiates several actions which objective is to insert environmental preoccupation throughout the boat life cycle, in particular through its Bateau bleu Program. Malaysia to host the International Festival of Extreme Sport (FISE) for 3 years

FISE World Series is one of the biggest international extreme sports festival. FISE is organized by the French company  Hurricane Action Sports Company and showcases extreme sports disciplines such as skateboarding, BMX, mountain biking, wakeboarding and inline skating. The memorandum of understanding was signed between the rights owner of FISE World Series, Hurricane Action Sports Company and Malaysia Roller Sports Association (MARS) in front of the Honorable Minister of Foreign Trade, France, Madame Nicole Bricq and the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Malaysia, Dato Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz on the occasion of the French Prime Minister visit to Malaysia on the 29 th of July 2013. Malaysia will be the first in Asia to host FISE World Series for three years in a row from 2014 to 2016 after winning the bid against 18 other countries. FISE World Series will be hosted in Malacca. MALAYSIA Major Events, a division of Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture played a pivotal role in winning a highly competitive global bid for the country.
