High Speed Rail : Malaysia and Singapore will build their own portion of HSR track

The CEO of SPAD Mohd Azharuddin Mat Sah said that Malaysia and Singapore would build their respective portions of the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) link’s track.

The Malaysian Government would appoint an asset management company for the construction and the maintenance of the HSR’s signaling and communications network.

Another company would be appointed to operate the HSR.  

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of the Economic Planning Unit, Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan also said that for the financial part, the rail project would be shared between both countries based on an “equitable fair percentage”.
