The French Tech will be present in force at the Mobile World Congress 2019 (MWC) in Barcelona

The MWC is the unmissable global mobile, services and content event which gathered 2400 exhibitors, 107 000 visitors from 208 countries in 2018.   For the 13th consecutive year, from 25 to 28 February 2019, Business France, the agency responsible for supporting the international development of the French economy, will be organizing the French Tech pavilion at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Over 100 innovative SMEs and start-ups will be exhibiting at this French Tech pavilion.   The French Tech pavilion will enable several partner regions such as Brittany, Occitanie and Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur as well as the competitiveness clusters “Systematic Paris Region” and “Secure Communications Solutions” to exhibit there.   The French Tech pavilion will be the largest national pavilion at the show, with an exhibition space of 630 sq m. It will be spread over 2 islands in Hall 5 (5B41 / 5B61) and 2 islands in Hall 8.1 (8.1D41 / 8.1E49) “APP PLANET”. The companies hosted at the French Tech pavilion belong to a range of Telecoms sectors:   mobile applications, infrastructures, mobile advertising and mobile marketing, mobile games and accessories, engineering services and financial services.   The companies supported by Business France, moreover, can meet operators and players from the following countries: South Africa, Germany, Brazil, Canada, China, Ivory Coast, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey and USA.   A wide range of innovations will be presented at the show, including:   KONROW : This French brand of smartphones and tablets designs telephones which answer each of your uses. La robotique française sur Robotworld 2016 – 12 au 15 octobre 2016 Corée du Sud     Robotworld, l’un des salons internationaux de référence en robotique (8 pays, 150 exposants et plus de 160 000 visiteurs), se tiendra au KINTEX de Séoul du 12 au 15 octobre 2016.   A l’occasion de l’Année de la France en Corée, destinée à célébrer le 130ème anniversaire des relations diplomatiques franco-coréennes, la France est l’invitée d’honneur du salon. Un pavillon France d’une dizaine d’entreprises innovantes permettra de montrer le savoir-faire français en matière de robotique.   La participation française au salon s’inscrit également dans le cadre du lancement en mars 2016 du French Tech Hub de Séoul, structure d’appui aux meilleures entreprises françaises souhaitant développer leurs activités et/ou des partenariats technologiques avec la Corée.   M. Concours « Créative Next » : devenez la nouvelle égérie de Business France ! Jeu concours exclusif visant les entrepreneurs innovants français, « Créative Next » est l’opération lancée par Business France en février dernier dans le cadre de sa campagne de communication internationale Créative France. Le coup d’envoi a été donné lundi dernier pour une nouvelle édition qui se déroulera jusqu’au 1er juillet dans cinq pays (Corée du Sud, Emirats Arabes Unis, Inde, Royaume-Uni et  Singapour) et qui cherche à dénicher cette fois des start-up, petites et moyennes entreprises et entreprises de moins de 5 000 salariés ayant concrétisé un projet d’entreprise dans les pays visés par le concours. Allegorithmic, lauréat de la première session du concours, avait concouru face à 40 start-up françaises et brillé grâce à sa vidéo présentant son projet innovant. Nouveau challenge pour les candidats de cette deuxième édition, ils seront attendus sur une création originale (texte et/ou visuel et/ou vidéo de moins de deux minutes) qui devra mettre en avant les aspects créatifs, disruptifs et innovants de leur projet, produit ou technologie, tout en s’attachant à montrer une image renouvelée de la France. 국내 O2O 스타트업들이 한 자리에…키워드는 상생 2016년 4월 15일 국내 O2O 스타트업들이 4월 14일 팁스타운에 모였다. 로아컨설팅이 주관한 이번 ‘O2O 스타트업 네트워크 2회 모임’에는 O2O 스타트업 20개사, 투자사 5곳, 관계사 4곳이 참여해 자리를 빛냈다. 이날 네트워크 파티에는 O2O 스타트업과 투자사의 1분 스피치를 시작으로, 관계사 2곳의 3분 스피치 그리고 로아컨설팅이 준비한 ‘O2O 스타트업 투자 동향’ 발표가 이어졌다. 우선 1분 스피치에서는 O2O 스타트업들의 다양한 목소리를 들을 수 있었다. 변영표 홈마스터 대표는 카카오의 홈케어 서비스 진입에 대해 자신의 생각을 이야기 했으며, 임수진 헤이뷰티 대표는 대기업들과 경쟁하기 위해선 O2O 스타트업들의 마케팅 제휴와 기타 협력이 중요하다고 자신의 의견을 피력했다. 또한, 이기상 사고팡 대표는 차량 O2O 서비스들을 위해 여러 법률 문제를 해결하고 있는 자사의 B to B 모델에 대해 소개를 했다. 1분 스피치에서는 O2O 스타트업들 이외에도 투자사, 관계사들이 각자의 소개를 이어갔다. 투자사로 참석한 박관수 케이벤처그룹 파트너는 1분 스피치에서 “케이큐브벤처스와는 조금 달리 케이벤처그룹은 O2O 스타트업들의 인수합병에 관심이 많고, 특히 초기 단계의 스타트업들에게 관심이 많다”고 전했으며, “카카오가 O2O 스타트업들에게 공적인지 아군인지는 모르겠지만, 앞으로도 꾸준히 O2O 스타트업들과 성장할 수 있는 방법들을 강구하겠다”고 밝혔다. 또한, 관계사로 참석한 장원식 변리사는 1분 스피치에서 “현재 O2O 스타트업은 다양한 분야에서 활동하고 있으며, 나중에는 기술 혁신에 대한 이슈가 생길 것이고, 여기서 자신의 역할은 연구기관에 있는 기술 수준을 O2O 스타트업들이 사용할 수 있게끔 부드럽게 만들어 주는 것이다”고 전했다. 다음으로, 관계사 2곳의 3분 스피치는 SKT 상품기획부문 커뮤니케이션 플랫폼팀 이택수, KB국민카드 모바일사업부 이갑섭 차장이 O2O 스타트업들과 앞으로 어떻게 협력할 것인가에 대해 발표했다. SKT 상품기획부문 커뮤니케이션 플랫폼팀 이택수 매니저는 “최근에 O2O/온디멘드 서비스를 앱으로 많이 제공하는 추세지만, 아직까진 전화가 많이 사용되고 있다”며 “전화로 서비스가 될 때 가장 큰 문제인 ‘모르는 전화를 잘 받지 않는 고객들의 특성’을  해결하고자 하는 것이 가장 큰 목표고 발신자 표시, 콜백, O2O스타트업 전화추천 서비스 등 많은 방안 등을 구상하여, O2O 스타트업들과 함께하는 플랫폼 역할을 할 것이다”고 전했다. 이갑섭 KB국민카드 모바일 사업부 차장은 “아직 O2O 서비스라고 하면 고객들이 낯설어하고, 스타트업 입장에선 O2O 서비스가 무엇이다라고 설명해야 되는 부분이 있다”며 “바로 이 부분을 국민카드가 O2O 스타트업들과 함께 O2O 아이템들에 대해 조금 더 직관적으로 다가갈 수 있게 돕는 역할을 하겠다”고 밝혔다. 더불어 “앞으로 O2O ZONE을 구성하여, 공동 마케팅을 진행할 예정이며, 구체적인 플랜을 조만간 공개할 계획이다”고 전했다. 1분 스피치와 3분 스피치 이후 마지막으로 김동우 로아컨설팅 컨설턴트가 O2O 스타트업 투자 동향과 최근 국내 O2O 스타트업들의 전략에 대해 발표했다. ● O2O 스타트업 투자 동향 2015년 8월부터 2016년 3월까지의 대내외적으로 공표된 O2O 스타트업 투자 소식을 토대로 국내 O2O 스타트업 관련 투자 동향을 다뤘다. 로아컨설팅에 따르면, 월 평균 약 4회의 O2O스타트업 투자가 이뤄졌고, 월별 O2O 스타트업 투자 유치 금액이 가장 높은 순위는 요기요 419억 원, 위드웹 130억 원으로 나타났다.  월별 전체 스타트업 투자 유치는 15년 11, 12월 이후 하향세를 그리고 있으며, 같은 기간 동안 O2O스타트업의 투자 유치 비중은 평균 14.7%인 935.5억 원을 기록했다. 투자 유치 금액은 20억 이내의 시리즈 A라운드 투자가 전체 43%를 차지했고, 그 외 30억 이상의 투자가 32%를 차지하고 있었다. O2O 스타트업의 최다 투자 유치 업력은 1년 이상에서 2년 미만 기업(10개사)이며, 업력 3년 이상 4년 미만 기업이 가장 많은 466억의 투자를 유치했다. ● 국내 O2O/On-demand 스타트업의 3가지 동향 1. 실제 오프라인 매장으로 구현하는 사업모델 부상이다.  미미박스가 롯데백화점에 뷰티 이커머스 팝업스토어를 오픈했고, 스트라입스가 건대 커먼그라운드 팝업스토어를 오픈 하는 등 최근 O2O 스타트업들이 팝업스토어 운영 등을 통한 고객층 확장에 주력하고 있다. 2. O2O 플랫폼에 소셜이 연동된 형태의 사업의 등장이다.   ComeUp이 문화 이벤트 정보 서비스에 소셜 기능을 더해 사용자끼리 실시간 소통하는 것과 온딜 카가 이용자 니즈를 파악해 커뮤니티 기능을 추가하는 등 소셜네트워크를 통한 소통으로 고객의 욕구를 파악하고 있다. 3. 전략적 파트너 십을 통한 번들링 및 신 서비스 개발이다.  최근 미스터 픽이 하나은행과 손 잡고 ‘첫차 1Q오토론’을 출시했으며, 이사견적 플랫폼 앱 ‘이사모아’와 원룸이사 서비스 ‘짐카’가 전략적 제휴를 맺은 것 등 동종업체 및 대기업과의 업무협약을 통한 서비스 확장 및 고객 만족도 상승을 꾀하고 있다. 이번 네트워크 파티를 주관한 김진영 로아컨설팅 대표는 “더이상의 단순 제휴는 의미가 없고 한 몸이 되어 하나의 서비스가 통합되어 나오지 않는 한 점점 시장에서 경쟁하기 힘들 것이다”고 말했으며, “가치사슬이 연결되어 있는 O2O 스타트업 간에 주식스왑 같은 합병을 고려해볼 때가 되지 않았나 생각이 든다”고 전했다. 상생의 키워드에 걸맞게 이날 마무리 네트워킹 파티에서는 온디멘드 구수수선 서비스 ‘왓슈’와 찾아가는 맞춤 수제화 서비스 ‘멘솔’이 업무협약에 대한 논의를 이어갔으며, 이 밖에도 여러 O2O 스타트업들이 마케팅 제휴 등 상생할 수 있는 방안들에 대해 많은 의견을 나눴다. http://www.venturesquare.net/719302
