TAMI Industries’ ceramic membranes are renowned in the field of membrane separation processes for their durability and extreme efficiency

Purva Marwaha - 03-juil.-2017 08:07:47
TAMI Industries’ ceramic membranes are renowned in the field of membrane separation processes for their durability and extreme efficiency   Specially adapted for the food processing, pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries.       The use of ceramic membranes has increased in popularity over recent years in the various industrial separation processes currently available on the market. Their characteristics of high mechanical resistance, durability and ease of use have contributed significantly to this increased popularity.       Although representing only 10% of the global market, in very many applications ceramic membranes are challenging organic membranes. The main advantages they offer being greater durability, significant chemical stability, complete temperature independence and improved mechanical resistance to pressure. Thus, corrosive products, steam sterilization, high-temperature separations or hydraulic accidents in circulation pumps are easy to control using ceramic membranes.       TAMI Industries’ R&D department has gone to considerable lengths to develop new inorganic membranes. This hard work has resulted in the creation of high-tech ceramic membranes with the exclusive characteristics of non-circular petal-shaped channels. Compared to circular channels, non-circular channels provide a larger filtration surface for the same external volume of the membrane thus ensuring improved filtration performance as well as increased turbulence and reduced fouling.       The original shapes of the ceramic membranes designed by TAMI Industries means they are more compact (patents on non-circular channels), which increases permeability and offers a wide choice of cut-off thresholds - Microfiltration, Ultrafiltration and Fine Ultrafiltration (patents on the layers), high mechanical resistance (patent on the base materials), significant chemical stability (pH range from 0 to 14), high heat resistance (up to 300 °C ), low risk of fouling, reliability and durability (an average useful life 3 to 4 times longer than their organic competitors).       The external dimensions of TAMI Industries’ ceramic membranes are compatible with all existing equipment and facilities on the market that use ceramic membranes. This functionality means that renovating industrial infrastructures is simple, only the ceramic membranes need to be replaced (process known as RETROFIT).       As a result of this R&D investment it is now possible to offer membranes with the best filtration surface /external volume ratio of the membrane associated with control over the shaping of the membrane’s materials, thus allowing very narrow distributions of the pore diameters and a more uniform performance. In addition, investments in external growth have guaranteed the manufacture of the supports, which means that TAMI Industries has complete control of the ceramic membrane production process from start to finish.       This investment has led to a significant improvement in performance and, therefore, increased energy savings, along with lower operating and infrastructure maintenance costs.       There are two separate ranges of ceramic membranes available:-   - A range of tubular shaped products for industry (Inside CéRAM)   - A range of flat products for frontal and cross-flow filtration for laboratory tests (Inside KéRAM).       Currently, TAMI Industries is the only company in the world capable of producing and offering such high-performance tubular ceramic membranes on an industrial scale.       Main fields of application:-   - pharmaceutical and biotechnological sectors - culture media clarification (production of amino acids, antibiotics, enzymes, vitamins, etc.)                   - food-processing sector – debacterization of milk, fractionation, standardization and concentration of milk and lactoserum (WPI/WPC), clarification of wines, fruit juices, cider and sweetened juices …                   - environmental sector – treatment of metallurgy effluents, oil/water separation (degreasing baths), laundry water, paper industries and textile industries effluent treatment…       This list is far from exhaustive, ceramic membranes can fulfill the requirements of numerous other applications.       The Indian Market has great potential for these ceramic membranes since all the sectors of application are recording double digit growth. Tami Industries has been present in India since the past 10 years and is supplying these membranes via partners. The French company is now looking to expand its operations in the Western & Southern regions of India and is therefore looking for partners who can import & distribute their products in India.       TAMI Industries, your ideal partner for all your filtration processes, is looking for partners to help with the commercial development of its products.       About TAMI Industries:   TAMI Industries, designs and manufactures industrial filters (ceramic membranes) for the separation of molecules or particles contained in liquids. The future of textiles is here in Lille Region

India - 19-déc.-2012 08:03:05
New fibre developments offer a brilliant opportunity to transform technical textiles into countless innovative applications. The Lille Region has long been associated with the textile industry and has great development potential to offer in the field of technical textiles. CETI (Centre Européen des Textiles Innovants – European Center for Innovative Textiles) was inaugurated on October 10, 2012 in the Lille region, offering cutting-edge technical facilities for research and development of various technical textile applications. In addition, the 3 rd Futurotextiles event – an exhibition that associates science, technology, design, fashion and art with innovative textiles – is being held at the CETI.   CETI: European Centre for Innovative Textiles CETI, the European Centre for Innovative Textiles, is the world’s most recent research and prototyping centre dedicated to new textile applications. At the heart of a first class scientific network, CETI uses creativity techniques to accelerate the development, innovation, experimentation and application of state-of-the-art textiles. The CETI was inaugurated on 10th October 2012 in the Lille Region (Northern France) with the installation of the spinning tool, Phase 1 of the CETI, which will be used to develop new high-performance fibres essential for markets such as ultra-filtration, medical devices and intelligent textiles. There are only four units of the same tool worldwide. At the same time its drylaid tool uses new combinations of technology to develop new industrial solutions. The market is forecast to grow by 21% between now and 2017. The phase 2 planned for 2013-2014 will focus on the manufacturing processes (knitting, weaving, braiding), especially for the composite or technical fabric markets. Today, CETI positions itself as an exceptional world-class centre. It can be compared in terms of equipment to the “Non-Woven Institute” (NCRC) which federates over 60 major companies around the development of new textile materials from Raleigh in the USA. It is in Phase 2 that the CETI comes into its own as it will then be the only platform in the world to bring together in one place as much technological equipment associated to cutting-edge research in the field of technical textiles. The launch event of the centre attracted some of the big names in textile industry, like Arnold Wilkie from Hills and Hideki Hoshiro from the JCFA (Japan Chemical Fiber Association) . Some high-level round-table discussions were held to highlight latest developments in the field of technical textiles. The launch of Futurotextiles exhibition was also announced to present incredible textile materials.   FUTUROTEXTILES 3: a leading exhibition of innovative technical textiles Futurotextiles is a pioneering project, initiated in 2006. It associates science, technology, design, fashion and art around innovative textiles in fields as diverse as clothing, transportation, sport, housing, architecture, geotextiles, as well as medicinal and protective uses. After the success of the first two editions in 2006 in Lille and in 2008 in Kortrijk, lille3000 is preparing a new edition for 2012: Futurotextiles 3. Presented as part of the Fantastic programme, it will be inaugurated on the occasion of the opening of the European Centre for Innovative Textiles with a surface of more than 1500 m2, before going on show at the Cité des Sciences in Paris. Incredible materials, microencapsulated lace and magic textiles will be at the heart of the exhibition organised around the central theme of the ultra-lightweight. The visitor will be able to juggle clouds, experiment with unusual fabrics (made from coffee, crystal, etc.), see incredible dresses (wooden textiles by Elisa Strozyk, “catalytic dress” by Helen Storey, paper/ lace dress by Jum Nakao, angel coat by Janaina Milheiro, and more) and discover surprising objects (a violin of linen fibre, an inflatable surfboard) and installations (such as Carnovsky’s chromatic transformations).   About Nord France Invest Nord France Invest is the publicly funded investment promotion agency for Lille region. The Lille Region: an attractive destination for Indian businesses

India - 04-oct.-2012 13:46:14
The Lille Region (Northern France) is at the centre of the wealthiest consumer market in Europe with a population of nearly 80 million within a 300 km radius. Within easy reach of decision-making centers including Paris, Brussels, London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt, the region combines a strategic geographical location with outstanding transport infrastructure - high speed train, 3 major international airports nearby (Paris, Bruxelles, London), proximity to Antwerp and Rotterdam ports - and leading positions in high technology industries in Europe. Less known than Paris but still widely opened to the world, the Lille region has been remarked by Indian investors as a promising business destination.   Leading French institute of digital design opens in India The Lille region boasts of an internationally renowned institute in the digital sector: Supinfogroup. Today, this cluster of schools trains some 1,200 students in animation, video games and industrial design. On finishing their studies, those young professionals are immediately snapped up by major animation studios like PIXAR and DREAMWORK or by games companies of international repute such as GAMELOFT, UBISOFT and HYDRAVISION. Supinfogroup’s reputation now reaches as far as India, where the group of schools has been selected by private investors to set up a campus dedicated to multimedia and video games at in Pune. Built and financed by the Indian real estate magnate, D S Kulkarni , the brand-new campus has already welcomed 350 students. The investors were particularly impressed by the quality of films presented by the students and by the prizes that they have won at several international festivals, a resounding endorsement for Supinfogroup’s expertise and excellence!  Titagarh Wagons acquired Arbel Fauvet Rail as its first international investment   In 2010, Titagarh Wagons, India’s leading wagon makers, acquired the assets and business of the French wagons and rolling stock manufacturer Arbel Fauvet Rail (AFR) based in the Lille Region. Leveraging on AFR’s expertise in wagon manufacturing and as many as 15 patents on various technologies, this deal is expected to provide Titagarh Wagons with an additional production capacity of up to 5,000 wagons per year and in turn initiate its expansion into European and global markets. From 84 employees, Titagarh Wagons AFR now employs 160 people.   Lille Region, European leader in the field of technical textiles   CETI, the European Centre for Innovative Textiles, is the world’s most recent research and prototyping centre dedicated to new textile applications.
