The two day trade mission organised by the French Trade Commission UBIFRANCE brought six French companies to Ireland on the 12 th and 13 th of November. On the first day, the French delegates had the opportunity to visit three very diverse state of the art manufacturing sites: Ipsen, Genzyme and Servier. This enabled the French companies to have a better understanding of the high standards required by the Irish pharmaceutical industry as well as discover the Irish country side.   Tuesday the 13 th of November started at 9 am with a market presentation by Michael Gillen from PharmaChemical Ireland, providing the French exporters with more information about this growing sector. The rest of the morning was dedicated to B to B meetings between French and Irish companies.   The second edition of the Biopharmaceutical trade mission hosted a total of 32 individual meetings. The event would not have been such a success without the support of its key partners: PharmaChemical Ireland, The Dublin Chambers of Commerce, National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) and Plastics Ireland .

Irish Livestock & Farming discovery for 4 French companies

Charles Cornillère - 08-nov.-2012 13:30:25
On the 6 th and the 7 th of November, UBIFRANCE Ireland organised for 4 French companies specialised in livestock, animal health and nutrition a market discovery. They had the opportunity to apprehend the Irish agricultural sector, meet with the Irish trade and present their products in the heart of Ireland. On Tuesday 6 th , the French delegation visited 3 farms in Co. Tipperary (a beef and tillage farm, a dairy farm and a sheep and tourism farm) to understand better the reality of Irish breeders. Then, the delegation was welcomed by a feed manufacturer where they had an overview of the plant. They also met a vet group who explained them the health situation and the future health challenges in Ireland. The day after, in Co. Offaly, presentations of the Irish agricultural market by local organisations and associations including Teagasc were made and in the afternoon, they met with the Irish trade thanks to B to B meetings, thus having a chance to present their products to professionals of the sector.  This event was a great success for these French companies because they had a concrete and accurate overview of the Irish agriculture and cattle breeding, with testimonies of a broad range of actors in the sector, while the Irish trade had the chance to discover new and innovative products in animal health and nutrition to improve the profitability of the whole branch. So once again, a win-win event for both countries! Please download below the borchure of the event.
