"The SITS Group focuses on the automated installation networks for telecom, energy and signalling in the railway environment."

At InnoTrans 2014, we will present – for the first time internationally – our machines for the automated laying of cables along railway lines.

The ongoing growth of the information economy and the Internet is forcing telecom operators to continually reinforce their network by laying new fibre-optic lines between cities. Railway tracks are an ideal solution for laying such cables : just one owner ready to rent a full-length right-of-way, controlled access, few hard surfaces to break through, few conflicts with local networks (energy, telecom, water or sewer) – and the opportunity to use the railway track itself as the basis for automated, rapid, precise and economical laying of cables.

SITS has created a patented, multi-function cable-laying machine that responds to the demands of railway regulations. The cables can be not just for telecom, but also for energy or signalling. The machine moves forward on a train. With its three cable-laying tools, the machine is adaptable in line with customer needs and the work environment :

• Automated laying of concrete or composite cable ducts
• Simultaneous laying of cables and duct covers
• Automated cable burial

Founded in 1969, SITS is a mid-sized company with headquarters 55 km west of Paris. The Group operates throughout France and is now developing internationally. Come see us at InnoTrans 2014 at our stand (Hall 11.2, Stand 110) in the centre of the French pavilion within the Messe Berlin trade centre.

We are looking forward to discussing your projects and how our solutions can support them.
