Château de Gourdon is a family wine estate, located in the south part of the Rhone Valley, 50kms north of Avignon.

The first vines were planted in 1870. The vineyard has now 45 hectares of vines all around the castle, mainly on the back hill, looking south.
The vineyard is mainly planted of old Grenache, Syrah and Carignan producing low yield. Since taking over 7 years ago, the family has been restructuring the vineyard and working in a sustainable manner in order to produce high quality wines. Yields are very low between 18 hls/has up to 30 hls/has. As such, Chateau de Gourdon can supply no more than 80,000 bottles per vintage.

Harvest can last for as long as 3-4 weeks in order to ensure grapes are picked at the right maturity level. Only berries are vinified. Some wines are selected to mature in barrels. At present all wines are blends o2 or 3 or the main grape varieties.

Since the 1st vintage elaborated in 2006, Chateau de Gourdon received several gold medals in French competitions.
