French medical expertise back in Dubai on the occasion of Arab health 2018

YASMINA OUARI - 19-déc.-2017 08:09:39
United Arab Emirates;December  2017 - 130 French companies will be participating in the Middle East’s largest healthcare exhibition from 29 January to 1 February 2018 on the French Pavilion. 33 companies will be visiting Dubai for the first time. Occupying an exhibition space of almost 1,300 m2, they will showcase their expertise in a wide variety of areas: hospital furnishings and equipment, hygiene and risk prevention, diagnostics, and implants. The pavilion run by Business France will showcase the latest French innovations at Arab Health 2018.  The technicality of these innovations is in line with the requirements of the highly demanding, fast-developing local market. In 2017, France’s medical device market reported a turnover of €28 billion, generated by over 1,300 companies (92% of which are SMEs). The industrial sector employs 85,000 people in France. Growth in the sector is driven by exports, turnover from which is increasing by 5% annually. International development and R&D are the two main growth drivers for SMEs, and constitute a business model that 65% have chosen to adopt. The medical devices sector in France pursues a three-pronged growth strategy based on ‘rational innovation, international development and external growth’, with exports being the main driver given the slowdown in the domestic market. In this regard, innovation is still a vital necessity for these companies. This is reflected in their efforts to develop solutions that incorporate new functionalities, based in particular on e-health technologies. The following sectors will be the most strongly represented in the French Pavilion: Hospital furnishings and equipment: medical beds, trolleys, wheelchairs, surgery lamps, dialysis chairs, gynaecology chairs, etc. Prevention and management of hospital risks/hospital hygiene: air treatment and purification, hospital waste management, ventilation systems, decontamination of effluents, sterilisation and disinfection equipment, cold chain monitoring, temperature monitoring systems, etc. Diagnostics: ultrasound diagnostic equipment, ultrasound scanners, Doppler scanners, endoscopes, X-ray units, etc. Implants: arthroscopic, orthopaedic, gastric and intraocular implants, or surgical implants for cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and urological procedures, etc. With the help of five regional partners — DEV’UP, Lille Eurasanté, Bretagne Commerce International, Medicalps (a healthcare technologies cluster in Grenoble-Isère) and, for the first time, Nouvelle Aquitaine. This year the French pavilion at Arab Health is organized in partnership with Dubai Science Park (DSP),  the vibrant, holistic, science-focused freezone community, dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs, SMEs and MNEs. ARAB HEALTH : the preferred trade show for French companies

Yousra LAHBABI - 29-nov.-2015 14:35:12
United Arab Emirates; November 2015 – 130 French companies will be taking part in Arab Health-Medlab, from January 25-28, 2016. With 1,440 m2 in exhibition space across 2 halls, 1 entirely dedicated to laboratory equipment and diagnostics, and expanding every year, the international trade show for medical systems offers a prime venue from them to show off their know-how. Business France – the National Agency for the Internationalization of French Business which supports them, has reported record-high registration levels for this years event. The French medical equipment industry is powered by cutting-edge companies, 94% of which are SMEs, or even VSEs. French manufacturers are geared at diagnostic imaging tools, disposable systems, implants, prostheses and orthotics. Their innovative tools are used in two main growth markets: aging surgery and plastic surgery. They also enjoy wide recognition in the fields of technical assistance, minimally-invasive surgery and in-vitro diagnostics. On the international front, they are further borne by the French health systems positive image and leading authorities in medicine. This has brought about real cooperation between Frances manufacturers and medical-surgical teams, both in R&D and in actual use of the devices produced. Frances manufacturers are generally positioned on high-technology niche markets (IVD and implants). Highly dynamic, they also meet every ethical and regulatory requirement on safety and quality. As the not-to miss event in the Near and Middle East, Arab Health-Medlab attracts more and more manufacturers each year, from all over France, with a uniquely innovative offer; one-third of them are participating for the first time. Exhibiting in both halls, they will be unveiling their latest in products for orthopedics (surgical implants for bone surgery, prosthetics, digestive surgery), diagnostics (biopsy tools, reactants and laboratory equipment, blood analyzers), consumables and equipment for health-care establishments, air treatment (air decontamination and filtering), waste treatment, hospital supplies (medical equipment and furniture: beds, carts) and in-home care (home stay, patient transfer). With the help of regional partners such as CENTRECO, Lille Eurasanté, Biomédical Alliance and, for the first time, the Aquitaine Region, all on-site at the France Pavilion each with some ten companies of its own, Frances latest in innovation will be center-stage at the 2016 Arab Health Show. Their technical expertise perfectly aligns with a local market that is highly-demanding and currently burgeoning in these fields. THE FRANCE PAVILION FEATURES TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION -

Miryem Oukas Messidi - 27-avr.-2014 13:17:22
Some 30 French companies will be exhibiting at Project Qatar, which takes place May 12 - 15, 2014, present once more to demonstrate the quality and reliability of their products. The Pavilion organized by UBIFRANCE – The French Agency for the International Development of Companies – will be a veritable hotbed of French construction sector savoir-faire at an exhibition that is fast becoming a reference for participants. Today, there is increasing interest in sustainable and ecological buildings, energy efficiency and construction using wood, intelligent buildings or home automation, innovative materials and design. In a sector where security is an overriding concern, French companies’ reputation for rigorously finished products generates a positive image and solid positioning wherever technology, innovation, quality and design play important roles. In fact, many of these companies are considered a reference in terms of norms and regulations in a number of countries. While some French companies present at the Pavilion via their local subsidiaries are also global leaders, the profession as a whole is fairly fragmented: about 347,000 French companies employ some 1.5 million workers and represent total sales of 129 billion euros. Their wide scope of activity is reflected in the diversity of the exhibitors, nearly a third of whom are present for the first time at this trade show: they are specialists in concrete, plaster, worksite accommodations, sanitation, electricity, transport/lifting and woodworking machines. The decoration sector will also be represented with specialists in lighting, interior/exterior doors, technical textile and a professional aquarium designer, to name a few. The 3rd largest CCG market with 10.4 billion USD of contracts awarded, including 4/5th in transportation infrastructures, Qatar imported nearly 1.3 billion USD of construction equipment and materials in 2012. The construction industry alone represents 5.66 % of the emirate’s GDP. Qatar is massively investing in major infrastructures, now more than ever since they were selected to organize the 2022 Football World Cup. Another trend is the growing demand for sustainable development products; “green” hotels and construction are promising sectors, generating demand for innovative products. French companies remain highly appreciated for their expertise in top-end projects, i.e. five-star hotels and villas. Decidedly Francophile, Qatar massively invests in real estate and luxury hotel properties in France. It is currently a majority shareholder of PSG, the French capital’s football club, and holds shares in many major French companies. Beyond servicing today’s already significant business dealings, the French Pavilion at Project Qatar aims to strengthen existing partnerships and develop new joint-ventures, promote the Made-in-France model, and make solid connections with local contractors, distributors and agents. The support of regional partners such as CENTRECO and the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Franche-Comté, present at the France Pavilion with 6 companies, demonstrates across-the-board motivation to consolidate French presence on the local market and support the vast creation and construction efforts in Qatar today.
