Together with Airbus and Submer Technologies, 2CRSi has won a very high-performance server contract for a European anti-crime agency

Sarah Benyoub - 09-oct.-2019 10:20:19
Together with Airbus and Submer Technologies, 2CRSi has won a very high-performance server contract for a European anti-crime agency   United Arabe Emirates, October 7,2019 – 2CRSi announces that it has been chosen by AIRBUS to provide very high-performance calculation servers that will be used by a European anti-crime agency. This commercial success relates to the rollout of OCtoPus 1.8B servers for a total 3,744 CPU Intel ® Xeon ® cores and more than 7.45 million NVIDIA ® CUDA ® cores. These OCP (Open Compute Project) servers have been specially designed to function in immersion cooling tanks developed by SUBMER TECHNOLOGIES. The range of OCtoPus servers, launched by 2CRSi in 2017, provides a tangible response to the energy requirements of datacenters in order to meet their ecological challenges  with a reduction in the energy consumption of OCtoPus servers of more than 23% compared to equivalent servers fitted with traditional cooling systems. Under this AIRBUS project, the combination of 2CRSi servers and SUBMER TECHNOLOGIES cooling systems offers an even greater reduction in energy consumption through the elimination of air-conditioning: the servers are immersed in a dielectric cooling liquid which is itself cooled through a water circuit. 2CRSi and SUBMER TECHNOLOGIES have succeeded in making the difference as a result of the unique technical features of their submerges servers. Other decisive factors in the choice: the simplification and speed of the installation and fitting-out of the datacenter due to the integration of its products: with this solution, 3 months are sufficient to install the datacenter compared to 1½ to 2 years for a traditional datacenter. This technological achievement has been decisive in winning this contract. Moreover, long-term cost control was crucial for the future renewal of equipment: it will be possible to replace computer components (CPU and GPU cards, memory, etc.), where technological development, is very rapid. Feed and cooling modules will be retained. Overall and in addition to the relatively limited investment budget, the operating costs related to the servers installed at the end client will be reduced by more than 60%. An achievement that is both economic and ecological. With this contract, this customer should be one of the Group’s Top 5 customers in 2019. The order billing will take place before the end of the year. “We are proud to have been chosen by an international security player whose requirements in terms of performance and reliability are clear. Once again, we have succeeded in making the difference though our innovative and competitive solutions. I would like to congratulate our teams who are the heart of this new success, which further strenghtens our commercial visibility internationally." said Alai Wilmouth, Founder, Chairman and CEO. - END - About 2CRSi 2CRSi is based in Strasbourg and has subsidiaries in Manchester, Dubai and San Jose in the Silicon Valley. It specialises in the design and manufacturing of very high-performance IT servers. It provides innovative calculation, data storage and data transfer solutions to over 200 clients in 25 countries. In 2018, 2CRSi Group generated consolidated revenues of €65.2m. Attractiveness recognized, French innovation acclaimed!

Rejula ARUN - 18-juin-2019 14:37:48
United Arab Emirates June 18, 2019  – The “France Attractiveness Survey” published by EY records the international investments made in Europe each year and analyzes the perception that foreign economic decision-makers have of our country; as such, it measures real and perceived attractiveness compared with France’s leading competitors. Against a backdrop of falling investment decisions in Europe (-4% of projects recorded between 2017 and 2018) France confirmed its attractiveness, coming in second place of host countries in Europe, and recapturing the rank it had previously lost in 2010. With growth in projects of 1%, compared with a decrease of 13% in Germany, France posted 1,027 recorded projects and continues to build its image with economic decision-makers. The image of an industrial and innovative France emerges in this barometer, with a strong dynamic of R&D investments and the maintenance of France’s industrial leadership of Europe. For the first time, France is ranked first among European countries as a destination for innovative investments (with 144 projects). France also confirmed its leadership as a host country for industrial investments in Europe, with 339 recorded projects, or 5% more than in 2017, as it continued to hold top spot for more than 15 years. The perception survey that completes the report shows that since the start of 2019, France’s image has remained positive, despite a difficult social climate; 80% of investors set up in France declare themselves to be satisfied or very satisfied with their investments in France, while also highlighting that France must pursue its efforts to increase its attractiveness in fields as varied as education and training; reducing labor costs; reducing taxation; and supporting SMEs and mid-size companies. “France is modernizing its economy and investors are sensing this strongly as they make long-lasting investments in our country. These results can be read coherently with the record year for foreign investment recorded by Business France. The support provided by the government to high-tech industries and innovative projects, even though it must always be constantly supported, is helping our teams at Business France to convince people, and is helping investors to choose France as a destination for their European operations,” said Christophe Lecourtier, CEO of Business France. “France is convincing more and more decision-makers. The reforms being led and confirmed by the French government show the collective will that exists to make our country more competitive and attractive. From my recent meetings with investors from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Berlin and New York, I know that this strong message about a France on the move is being heard. We remain strongly committed to make the potential of France better known, which is particularly necessary work with our non-European partners. We have to capitalize on this!” said Pascal Cagni, Chairman of the Board of Business France.   For more info, feel free to contact Business France: Miryem Oukas Messidi Head of Communications – Middle East Mobile: +971 (0)55 478 32 15  Mail : miryem.oukasmessidi@businessfrance.fr

United Arab Emirates- June 16, 2019 , Business France, the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy, will be organizing its eleventh France Pavilion at the Project Lebanon trade fair from June 18 - 21, 2019 in Beirut. This trade fair is the sole international event in Lebanon in the construction, building, materials and equipment sector. The French Pavilion will enjoy very good visibility thanks to a Premium location at the trade fair entrance. Ten French exhibitors will be presenting their innovative products, technologies and know-how to local building industry professionals.   The French construction/finishing work industry has several undeniable strengths  - With a highly fragmented network of 392,000 companies and sales of €135 billion in 2017, the industry has one or more global leaders in most of its component sectors: VINCI, EIFFAGE, BOUYGUES and SPIE, to name but a few.  - France boasts a highly diverse offering when it comes to the building trades, with companies of all sizes providing structural engineering and finishing work services (carpentry, roofing, insulation, sanitation, air-conditioning, smoke detectors, etc.) and interior fittings (wall and floor coverings, luxury tapware, home automation, etc.). - Innovation is a hallmark of French companies: new and biosourced building materials, wooden construction driven by ecological considerations, and smart building (BIM modeling, home automation, smart meters, energy optimization tools, solar glass, and smart thermostats, boilers and bulbs) are just some of the development initiatives currently being pursued by businesses in the sector. - Lastly, France enjoys a strong reputation for quality and reliability, which are especially important in the construction industry due to safety risks. A strong presence in foreign markets €7.1 billion are generated in exports . France tends to export top-quality, carefully designed, advanced technology products (innovative insulation materials, building facades that let in natural light, suspended ceilings, clay roof tiles, natural paints, decorative fireplaces, etc.).   The building and finishing work market in Lebanon represents 14% of GDP and as regards construction, it mainly depends on imports. USD 11 billion of promises of loans and donations were obtained by Lebanon from the international community at conclusion of the CEDRE Conference in April 2018, aimed at helping the country finance its multi-year development plan over the next 5 years. This context is a strong signal for French companies wishing to do business with this country which has a strong development potential.
