France renews commitment to UAE’s industrial F&B sector by hosting 2 pavilions at GULFHOST and the Specialty Food Festival

- Visit France’s grand pavilion at Gulfhost which will be accessible from Sheikh Saeed Hall 2 from October 30th to November 1st at the Dubai World Trade Center. - Meet the French fine and specialty foods suppliers at the Specialty Food Festival in Hall 3. United Arab Emirates- Business France , the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy, will be taking center stage at Gulfhost and the Specialty Food Festival with 2 large pavilions exhibiting products of over 40 companies. Top industrial catering and hospitality companies from France will be showcasing their premium ranges of food service equipment and fine foods. Visitors will have the chance to meet company leaders who will reveal products and know-how and create opportunities to develop business with their Emirati and regionals counterparts. France is committed to UAE’s industrial F&B sector as it maintains its status as second largest partner. With 85% of UAE’s food requirements imported, French exports represent around €400 million in sales annually. France’s leading exports include mainly beverages (30%), dairy products (16%) and fruits (9%). The French Pavilion at Gulfhost will gather companies which will showcase the latest innovation of industrial kitchen equipment, cooking utensils and ranges of tools created for culinary professionals. The French syndicate of the food process equipment makers (SYNEG) will again this year, be one of the main partners supporting the initiative. Another pavilion gathering  French companies at the specialty food festival will be exhibiting this year including companies representing confectionary, bakery-pastry, condiments and fine products. Horizon International, a regional partner of Business France, will support the culinary campaign by introducing 6 companies to the show. REED EXPOSITIONS FRANCE appoints Boris Provost as Director of EQUIPHOTEL

Boris Provost is appointed Director of EquipHotel,the international event for hotel and catering professionals organised by Reed When he takes up his role in late September 2016, Boris Provost’s two key remits will be to develop EH Business Club, the new meetings event launching in Cannes in October 2017, and to expand the EH360 digital networking platform. He will then continue to develop EquipHotel, in France and internationally, directly overseeing the organisation of the show’s next session in November 2018. This appointment is part of the show’s ambitious growth strategy, as implemented over the past 4 sessions by Corinne Menegaux, Director of the Food Services & Hospitality, Retail, Healthcare, Communication & Culture Division at Reed Expositions France. “The tourism and hospitality sector is currently undergoing radical transformation. France brings-up its latest innovation equipment & high end fresh products at the Gulfood 2016

United Arab Emirates, February 2016 – France will once again be part of the not-to-be missed Gulfood 2016 to showcase its latest high quality products, food service equipment. With two French pavilions for a total area of nearly 1 250 Square meters., this 21st edition of Gulfood is expected to launch several French products. For the 21st edition of the Gulfood tradeshow, France is consolidating a strong position with a number of 100 exhibitors spread over two pavilions: - Food and drinks with 71 companies located Sheikh Saeed Hall 1 - Food service & catering equipment with 28 French companies located Za’beel Hall Gulfood has become over the years the premier meeting place for French companies exploring business development opportunities. Business France is also bringing its regional experts from France and several countries: Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, India, as well as Kenya to join this world class event. Since the launching in 1987, France participated in the tradeshow, with at the beginning a focus on the dairy sector, which is one of the most important industry in France. France is the 6th for the export of equipment in the food industry. Between 2009 and 2014, France has increased its exports by 5.2%. Globally, the food sector represents for France the 3rd trade surplus with around 10 billion USD in 2014. The company is well known in France, mainly on delicatessen market, for our high-quality seafood products, cooked and prepared on an island! That is why GROIX & NATURE is first of all a fascinating human story with a real project of sustainable development: with 8 jobs created on the island, the canning factory contributes all year long to maintain a strong community on the island with its employees and their families. Moreover, we highlight the local know-how with raw materials fished locally. We work with a local fish wholesaler who buys fishes every morning at the fish auction and fish fillets are delivered at Groix every day. Why are you exhibiting in Gulfood?
