The most innovative and promising French company will be granted by an award ceremony, on November 12th at 4 P.M. on the French pavilion – located Hall 9 (9256).   The French Oil & Gas service and supply sector developed a global footprint with more than 90% of its turnover generated by exports. Becoming one of the world’s leading exporter with Norway and the United Kingdom, this remarkable performance has been achieved through the high level of technical expertise of French companies. Sustained by ambitious programmes, French companies tend to invest significantly in research and development, to guarantee a strong capacity for innovation and meet the needs of an ever more ambitious sector.    Frederic Szabo, Managing Director, Business France Middle East commented : « the oil and gas construction projects planned in the GCC are expected to pledge USD 660 billion by 2025, including USD 29.6 billion for the United Arab Emirates, with USD 3.7 billion injected into the expansion of the Upper Zakum deposit, the 2nd largest in Abu Dhabi and the 4th largest in the world. These are just some of the opportunities prompting French companies to participate in this international exhibition ».   The French position in the O&G is also the result of other factors, especially the role of global players in the energy sector such as Total and Engie, renowned research institutes, IFPen and IFREMER, as well as the existence of several large engineering companies and contractors such as Technip. The French ecosystem is also well represented by major French companies and international leaders in the sector that have been active in the Middle East for the past 80 years and now firmly anchored in the region, such as CGG, Air Liquide and Vallourec.   This year, the French exhibitors at ADIPEC will represent a full range of activities in the sector and put the spotlight on France’s research and technological expertise.
