Dawex Raises €5 Million to Accelerate the Development of the Data Economy

Amadeus, Itochu Corporation, Bouygues Construction and Caisse des Dépôts invest to support innovation and data exchange technology.  United Arab Emirates-  May 26, 2019 -  Dawex , a leading data exchange technology company and the operator of the largest data marketplace, today announced a new round of funding of €5 million with  Amadeus  (AMS.MC),  Itochu Corporation  (ITOCY),  Bouygues Construction    (BOUY.PA) and a French web entrepreneur entering Dawex’s capital, also joined by the historical investor  Caisse des Dépôts    (via its Banque des Territoires). Total funds raised from inception tops €12 million, including the recent €2.5M grant from Horizon 2020,  European Union Research & Innovation program . Plans for French Pavilion at Expo 2020 Unveiled

EXPO 2020 DUBAI France affirms its positioning and involvement

o A common thread around the theme of Lights o A Vision to be shared about Climate Change & Inclusion Initiatives United Arab Emirates; 28 June 2018 - Expo 2020 Dubai will be held between October 20th, 2020 and April 10th, 2021 under the theme "Connecting minds, creating the future", divided into three sub-themes: Mobility, Sustainability and Opportunity. More than 25 million visitors are expected, 180 countries should be represented. The pavilion of France will be deployed within the space dedicated to mobility. Under the authority of Brune Poirson, Secretary of State to the Minister for the ecological and inclusive transition and with the participation of Erik Linquier, Commissioner General of France for Expo 2020 Dubai and President of COFREX, a Strategic Committee was held to discuss the French participation at Expo 2020 Dubai. The members of the Strategic Committee, gathered to support the project are going to be active relays with private and public partners as well as the general public. Erik Linquier, Commissioner General of France for Expo 2020 Dubai and President of COFREX, commented: "The Expo 2020 Dubai provides a unique opportunity for France to mobilize large-scale international companies to show the world its power to innovate in the fields of sustainable city, connected territories and new living environments. Saint-Gobain announces the winners of the 14th edition of its MultiComfort House Students Contest

Saint-Gobain presented the awards for the international final of its 14th MultiComfort House Students Contest following the competition held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) chaired by Pierre-André de Chalendar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Saint-Gobain group, and Mr. Dawood AbdulRahman Al Hajiri, Director General of Dubai Municipality. Created in 2004, the objective of Saint-Gobain’s students contest is to develop a project based on the principles of the Multi-Comfort concept: an optimum indoor environment ensuring the right level of fresh air, thermal, visual and acoustic comfort provided in a sustainable and energy efficient manner. The task for the 14th international edition of the Saint-Gobain’s MultiComfort House Students Contest, developed in close collaboration with the Planning Department of Dubai Municipality and the Dubai Properties Group, consisted in creating a vision for a transcultural vibrant community development located in the perimeter of Dubai’s Cultural Village, a multi-purpose area located along the Dubai’s creek Al Jaddaf shoreline. The challenge lay in Dubai’s very hot and humid climate. Students had to find a way to reconcile the reduction of energy consumption of cooling and ventilation systems with a beautiful and highly efficient building envelope. This without compromising any of the inhabitants’ comforts, and while providing optimum connection with the environment and having a minimum impact on it. “Again this year, this 2018 MultiComfort Students Contest will be noted in the records for the high-level quality of the projects submitted by the students. I am always amazed by their innovative spirit to use the Saint-Gobain Multi Comfort solutions to create better and great living places everywhere. The French Business Council Dubai and Northern Emirates receives the Dubai Quality Appreciation Award for Representative Entities during the DED Business Excellence Awards Ceremony

Dubai, May 13th  2018 - The French Business Council Dubai and Northern Emirates (FBC) has received the Dubai Quality Appreciation Award for Representative Entities, presented by HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation. This award was given during the Business Excellence Awards Ceremony held on Tuesday, 24th April 2018 at Dubai Opera. The Dubai Quality Award is an initiative created by the Department of Economic Development (DED) to promote quality and excellence. In 2018, the French Tech pavilion powered by Business France will be present in force at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

ARTS Energy Ni-MH battery technology:New ENDURANCE range offering a 10-year lifetime in outdoor applications in the Middle East

United Arab Emirates December  2017: French company ARTS Energy, one of the world’s leading battery manufacturers, will be presenting its new generation of nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) batteries for professional autonomous solar energy solutions and backup applications on January 15-18, 2018 at the WFES & IWS trade fair in Abu Dhabi (French Pavilion). ARTS Energy’s latest generation of Ni-MH batteries are exceptionally robust in very warm environments (up to 85°C) and boast a 10-year lifetime when used in outdoor applications in the Middle East. Ni-MH is particularly well suited to autonomous solar applications in the Middle East (Solar Street Lights, Road and Urban Signage, etc..), which are very demanding.
