Sterilization of medical devices by ethylene oxide

Sarah Benyoub - 15-janv.-2020 11:48:57

Sterilization of medical devices by ethylene oxide A new range of EO sterilizers  United Arab Emirates  January 8, 2020 - The market of single-use medical devices shows steady growth over the past 10 years. Experts say this fast-growing trend is far from over. Medical practices using disposable devices move sterilization upstream as a result, from healthcare facilities to the industry. It is estimated that 50% of all MD in the world are sterilized by ethylene oxide (EO) gas.  SOLSTEO is a French company that manufactures state-of-the-art industrial EO sterilizers. SOLSTEO is a member of the ISO technical committee that developed the ISO 11135 norms. They also contribute to other work groups of experts who share knowledge on EO sterilization process (e.g. parametric release, EO residuals). SOLSTEO delivered to a Dubai factory the largest EO sterilizer of 86m3 in the Gulf region. In January 2020, SOLSTEO is very pleased to announce the placing on the market of a new range of EO sterilizers, starting with UNISTE 411. This model is designed with standard technical specifications to meet the requirements of industrial OE sterilization and to guarantee compliance with EU & ISO standards. UNISTE 411 has a loading capacity of 11m3 and integrates a gas treatment system: an acid scrubber. It is a great alternative for customers looking for high-quality European machines with competitive prices. Pierre Bouché, General Manager & Associate Director says: “We enjoy excellent reputation in Europe as leading manufacturer of industrial EO. Our company culture is focused on custom-designing our solutions to make sure that our machines adjust perfectly to each individual setting. In this respect, UNISTE is a milestone for our company because it forces us to take another approach to the market. SOLSTEO can now propose robust, but simple, machines able to perform standard sterilization cycles while respecting EU applicable safety regulations (ATEX Directives) and by including a scrubber to add an environmental consideration to the system. We are very pleased and excited to unveil this new range of EO sterilizers in Arab Health 2020. I am personally very confident that it will attract positive attention from investors setting up new factories in Dubai. I am confident that this attraction will not limit to Dubai and UAE but will meet the demand of the Gulf region in general. “ SOLSTEO stand Z2K10 at Arab Health Dubaï 2020.   For further information:   SOLSTEO Pierre Bouché Tel: +33 984 399 622 Web: www.solsteo.com

Medical device manufacturer TECHNO CONCEPT plans to expand its business in the Middle East region following its participation in the ARAB HEALTH 2020 show in Dubai

Sarah Benyoub - 15-janv.-2020 11:18:04

Medical device manufacturer TECHNO CONCEPT plans to expand its business in the Middle East region following its participation in the ARAB HEALTH 2020 show in Dubai   United Arab Emirates January 12, 2020 - TECHNO CONCEPT is the designer and manufacturer of specialist medical devices used in Physical Medicine and Neurorehabilitation. TECHNO CONCEPT, a true "Made In France" startup, with a unique know-how resulting from 15 years of research in neurosciences, launched Vibramoov in 2016, an innovative therapeutic solution to treat motor disorders in patients who have suffered neurological damage. Innovation at the heart of TECHNO CONCEPT’s business Launched in 2016, Vibramoov technology has taken TECHNO CONCEPT to a new level by opening the doors of international markets in the neuro-rehabilitation medical devices sector by the unique and revolutionary nature of the technology it employs. Protected by a worldwide patent for which the company obtained exclusive exploitation rights in 2014, and which was the result of a technology transfer with the CNRS of Marseille, the Vibramoov technology uses a complex method of soliciting the nervous system by "Functional Proprioceptive Stimulations” based on scientific knowledge acquired in the field of neuroscience over a period of 20 years. By stimulating the sensitive part of the muscles in a very specific way, the device is able to "trick" the brain by causing it to receive natural movement information of the limbs even though the patient is still unable to move. For a patient suffering from neurological damage, the aim is to ensure that (from the first days after a stroke for example) communication between the brain and the muscles of the arms or legs remains active even though the patient is still in bed. This non-invasive technique, which has no contraindications, aims to stimulate neuroplasticity from the earliest stage, thus allowing the patient’s mobility to be restored more quickly and with a higher outcome over the rehabilitation continuum.  Vibramoov was produced in response to a real global public health problem to more effectively treat the mobility impairments (loss of a patient’s ability to walk or move their arms) resulting from neurological traumas, the statistics of which are constantly increasing. The benefit to the quality of patient recovery is enormous, but equally to the economies of healthcare systems around the world. TECHNO CONCEPT has won a range of innovation awards with Vibramoov: Rotary Innovation Award – Health Category; Innovation Award at the Neuro Convention London in 2017.   Sustained international development TECHNO CONCEPT embarked upon exporting immediately following the launch of Vibramoov in 2016. The company already has a presence in Europe and abroad (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine, etc.) via a network of distributors. With regard to the Middle East, TECHNO CONCEPT started prospecting there in 2018. According to Nicolas PLUMIER, Co-Director of the company and Export Manager: “Arab Health 2020 will be the 3rd time TECHNO CONCEPT has taken part in this trade show. After first discovering the Middle East market in 2018, the 2019 show allowed us to finalize a distribution contract in the Saudi Arabian market and start the certification process for our device, which is expected to be completed in December 2019, thus enabling it to be marketed.   Our participation in 2020 will be aimed at continuing to support this Saudi partner by promoting the device to new opinion leaders, but also by opening up prospecting for new partners in the Middle East such as the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Kuwait and Lebanon. In Qatar, we also intend to strengthen our presence via the finalization of a distribution contract with a specialized partner with effect from the first quarter of 2020.”   Come and see TECHNO CONCEPT on the France pavilion organized by Business France at Arab Health, Stand R.K50   Press contact Nicolas PLUMIER, Co-Director, Export Manager Techno Concept Tel: +33 492 790 856 n.plumier@technoconcept.fr www.technoconcept.fr
