Gulfood Manufacturing 2018: French food and beverage processing industry to be displayed on two national pavilions!

From November 6th to 8th 2018 at Dubai World Trade Centre United Arab Emirates,  2018:  Business France, the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy is once again running two pavilions and an innovation corner during the Gulfood Manufacturing tradeshow. This regional event is dedicated to the ingredients and equipments of the food industry and will bring together nearly 50 French companies to highlight their products and know-how. For the 2nd year running, Business France unveils a French Innovation Corner to be located at the Ingredients pavilion. For this new edition, the packaging & processing machinery French Trade Association, GEPPIA, along with the French organization for intermediate food products, Club PAI and Bpifrance, the French Public Investment Bank are teaming up as partners and members of the jury. This contest is geared first and foremost to promote France’s innovations that meet the needs and trends of the Near and Middle East markets. The announcement of the winners will take place on Tuesday, November 6th at 4pm on the French pavilion located stand S1-C65. The French agri-food products and equipment perfectly match the consumers’ needs in the region. French imports to the United Arab Emirates are based mainly on beverages (28% of market share) followed by dairy products (15% of market share). • The French Ingredients Pavilion located on Sheikh Saeed 1 Stand C65 features a space of 360 square meters in partnership with the Hauts-de-France and Brittany regions. Visitors of Gulfood Manufacturing will be able to meet innovative French companies keen on showcasing the diversity of French products, from dairies and cereals, to egg products and fruit preparations. Exports of Ingredients and Intermediate Food products (IFP) from France to the UAE account for nearly 81 million euros. The quality of French products anticipates the requirements of traceability of UAE partners. France renews commitment to UAE’s industrial F&B sector by hosting 2 pavilions at GULFHOST and the Specialty Food Festival

This trade show devoted to new F&B products will feature around 70 French companies, all eager to present their latest offerings and know-how.  France renews a strong participation at the Gulfood this year, highlighting the latest French products on a surface area of 800m² across four halls: fine food in the world food section in Sheikh Saeed Hall ; dairy products in Hall 1; meat and poultry in Hall 3; drinks in Za’Abeel Hall.  For the first time at Gulfood, visitors will be able to discover a live cooking show provided by Cordon Bleu, the world renowned French Culinary Arts and Hotel Management institute, it will be held the whole week in Sheikh Saeed Hall and undertaken by the select Chefs Nicolas Houchet and Emil Minev. The role of Le Cordon Bleu is to teach a whole range of technical and University training programmes for working in the restaurant, hotel and tourism industry since 1895. Le Cordon Bleu’s teaching method is based on practical learning with demonstrations and practical classes. The institute is developing its network year after year attracting 100 nationalities across the campuses. Le Cordon Bleu has a presence in the Middle East, with two institutes in Lebanon, awaiting other expansions in the region. France is a major player in numerous segments, including dairies, fruits, vegetables, meat, and products for bakery to name just a few, agri-food products combine quality and excellence to cater closely to the requirements of consumers in the region. In 2016, the UAE imported USD 400 million of food and beverage products from France, making the Emirates the 24th export market for the French industry. French exports of F&B products to UAE have doubled since 2010. Saudi Arabia is the 20th export market for France. United Arab Emirates- Business France, the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy, will be running a French pavilion at VIV Middle East Africa, which takes place in Abu Dhabi on February 5-7.  This trade fair devoted to livestock will feature almost 20 French companies, all eager to present their latest offerings and know-how.  Thanks to the genetic quality of its livestock and the strength of its livestock industry, France is a major breeder and a leader in the European Union for its productivity, value-added products and the global distribution of its exceptionally diverse range of breeds, meats and dairy products (included the 1 000 different cheeses). France is also one of the world’s leading producers of milk and meat thanks to the vitality of its livestock which contribute to name France as an international excellence and reference in this industry. This regional exhibition, whom the first edition was held in 2016, became a major event in the country gathering every poultry and cattle sector’s players from upstream to downstream. This biennial event allows the connection between more than 270 international exhibitors and a high quality trade show’s visitors, with more than 6 000 visitors expected. Some of the latest French products and innovations will be presented at the French pavilion, which will cover a surface area of 248m² across halls 6 and 7.
