Great show last week for the French Delegation at the "Natural Products Expo West" Trade Show in Anaheim, CA!
On the occasion of the 31st edition of the “Natural Products Expo West”, UBIFRANCE - The French Trade Commission organized its first French Pavilion. For the first time ever, for 3 days, from March 10 to 13, 2011, 7 French Companies - including Huilerie Emile Noël, Concept Fruits, Biocyte, Laboratoires Arkopharma, Nature & Cie, Naturgie / Favols, Le Moulin du Pivert - were exhibiting on the Pavilion and showcasing the latest French products and services.
The French Pavilion attracted a large number of visitors, who really appreciated all the products on display. Thanks to the variety of French Companies exhibiting, visitors were able to discover new French trends and ideas. It was a great opportunity for both French and American companies to share their know-how and expertise, and develop new business contacts.

Representatives from the French organic food industry will exhibit on the French Pavilion at Natural Products Expo West 2011 in Anaheim, Calif., from March 11 to 13, at booths 3584 and 3585 in Hall D.

French food is famous in its own right, but did you know that French organic food is a booming industry as well? Representatives from the French organic food industry will exhibit on the French Pavilion at Natural Products Expo West 2011 in Anaheim, Calif., from March 11 to 13, at booths 3584 and 3585 in Hall D. This is the first year that Ubifrance has organized a French pavilion at the show.
France is a growing frontrunner in the organic food industry in production, distribution, sales and consumption. According to Agence BIO, the French public interest group that promotes organic agriculture, French organic food production has doubled in the last decade: In 2000, the country produced 8,000 organic food products compared to more than 16,000 today. A large part of sales is in big box stores for grocery items but also in specialized stores for organic dietary supplements. Sales of both sweet and savory grocery products have increased by 29% and 22% respectively. Lastly, at least 50% of French people consume at least one organic product each month. This growing industry will be represented at Expo West by seven French companies producing consumables ranging from prepared food to food supplements, all made with organic ingredients.
For more than 30 years, the French pharmaceutical laboratory Arkophama has been a European leader in herbal medicine, food supplements and organic dermo-cosmetics and continues to maintain its sustainable international development with innovative products throughout 60 countries.
The "haut de gamme" laboratory, an expert in nutricosmetics that offers nutritional supplements aimed at beauty and anti-aging. With 47% growth in sales in 2010, Biocyte continues to develop its activity in Europe and exports abroad.
Specializing in cooked chestnuts gourmet recipes such as vacuum-packed cooked chestnuts, chestnut creams and purées, fruit purées and coulis. Its clients are big box stores, organic and natural food retailers, restaurants and food manufacturers.
Produces vegetable oil made with organic ingredient, and leads France in extracting and selling organic vegetable oils with a large range of nearly 35 varieties.
Produces egg- and peanut-free snacks and cookies using organic products.
