The French Trade Commission UBIFRANCE in the UK successfully organized a French Pavilion in London at the Insight Show and another one at the In-Store Show in June 2011. This gave French companies in the sector the opportunity to showcase their products and services in the market-research industry (Insight), as well as marketing solutions dedicated to the retail trade (In-Store). Both trade shows took place at Olympia, in Central London, on 29-30 June.
As part of Marketing Week Live, the two French Pavilions enabled a total of 13 French companies (eight at Insight Show and five at In-Store Show) to be at the heart of what constitutes the key trade event for the marketing sector in the UK.
On the Insight Show stand, French companies were able to lay the foundations for future partnership agreements with their British counterparts and to meet key players in the sector, who are looking for innovative solutions in the marketing field.
“The eight companies [on the French Pavilion] were able to showcase their dynamism and their competitiveness with British research institutes, with decision-makers in the media and in marketing, and with marketing research teams based within large companies,” explains Elodie Relier, head of the Services Industry Department at the French Trade Commission, who was in charge of the pavilions on behalf of UBIFRANCE.
At the In-Store Show, the five French participating companies met potentials partners and clients, and strove to meet the challenges and concerns that brand owners are faced with.
A cocktail party attended by all 13 companies marked the end of the first day and was organized on the French Pavilion at the In-Store Show.
The two-day event confirmed the potential for close co-operation that there is at corporate, commercial and operational level between French companies and their British counterparts in the marketing and retail sectors.
