EUROMEDIA FRANCE

Euro Media Group's business consists in producing and managing audiovisual content on behalf of its customers.

Its original business was providing all of the human and technical resources necessary for producing programmes for television and cinema.

Currently, its business has expanded to encompass managing this content, including image enhancement (interstitials, slow motion, etc.), interactivity, and diversity of broadcasting formats and media. Euro Media Group fulfils more than 12,000 assignments per year and offers its customers a full range of video services, from production to administration and management. This business requires real expertise and substantial technical resources, which can be broken down into four categories:

- Mobile units (67 units), which are mainly used for producing and broadcasting unscripted programmes (sports, variety shows, game shows, entertainment), as well as editing, slow motion and enhancement;
- Studios (90 studios with more than 64,000 m2 of stages) used both for live and recorded unscripted programs as well as scripted programmes (feature films, TV drama, series, etc.);
- Additional services, which comprise other technical resources developed by the Group for filming and post-production;
- Specialized high-tech services, such as Ultra-high frequency (UHF), content enhancement, content management (including media dematerialization systems) and play out, engineering and integration services, and 3D production and broadcasting.

Euro Media Group is active in several market segments: unscripted programmes (sporting events, variety shows, game shows, entertainment, and reality TV) and scripted programmes (cinema, dramas, sitcoms, series, live shows and advertising). Filming takes place either on location, using mobile units, or in the Group’s studios using either the same mobile units or fixed production equipment.

The Group has developed its business as a technical audiovisual services provider by seeking to control the entire image production, processing and broadcasting cycle.

It is now one of the few independent providers in Europe able to offer high tech services, both in production and content management (image and sound). It has a high quality technical and real estate asset base, including the largest number of studios and the largest fleet of mobile units in Europe.

Euromedia Mobile Units

With 67 mobile units composed of production, fly-away and specialised units, Euro Media Group has the largest fleet in Europe. Unscripted programme feeds (sports, variety shows, game shows, entertainment) are filmed essentially using OB trucks, which can be used to produce and broadcast any event worldwide. Inside the truck, the director, script supervisor, special effects technician, sound and video engineers and video tape operator manage the programme’s various audio and video signals during production. Euro Media Group also has fly-away units, production gear that can be disassembled and used in place of a regular production unit in cases where distance or space may be a problem. Specialised units perform editing, create slow-motion sequences, and insert virtual enhancements. This category of mobile units also includes satellite news gathering (SNG) trucks. Equipped with satellite dishes, they transmit the signal via satellite from the filming location to the reception unit, or directly to the TV audience. Lastly, it includes radio frequency (RF) vehicles, which broadcast events in a continuous stream from one or more on-board cameras and motorbikes.
