VG EMBALLAGE stems from Les Verreries Générales, a company founded in the early 20th century with the mission of distributing glass produced in the Bresle valley.
After buying out a series of French distributors, Les Verreries Générales joined the Saint-Gobain Group in 1966.
Renamed VG EMBALLAGE in 1983, then SAINT-GOBAIN VG EMBALLAGE, the company was a stakeholder in the Saint-Gobain Desjonquères cluster and followed it until, renamed SGD, it was sold to new financial shareholders.
VG EMBALLAGE is now a subsidiary of the SGD group which, since March 2010, had belonged to the OAKTREE Capital Management investment fund.
VG EMBALLAGE designs, develops and markets rigid packaging solutions comprised of stock bottles and of decorations and accessories. Grouped together in specialised catalogues for Pharma, Industry and Fragrance & Cosmetics, our solutions cover all the materials conventionally used in packaging: glass, plastic and aluminium.
To carry out that mission, VG EMBALLAGE draws on its own technical know-how, built up through long market experience, and on the resources of a network of
front-rank European industrial firms that have all been partners with the company for decades.
This enables VG EMBALLAGE to guarantee the functional properties and interoperability of the products it sells.
In addition to the design and distribution of the articles that make up its offering, VG EMBALLAGE takes one every service for the storage and logistics of ordered products.
