After more than the company, founded in 1969 by François Doucet and Maggie Doucet, has become a dynamic SME with the same traditional value, in the Alpes de Haute Provence.
According to François Doucet, the story of the company began with the know-now of his great-granfather, Théodore Viellard, créator of Pâtes de fruits of Auvergne.
François Doucet Confectionary is situated in Oraison, in south of France. We take full advantage of the sunny weather area. Our range of product is made from fruits (apricot, pears, apples, quinces, figs, peaches) and almonds grown under the sun of heart of Provence as well as honey.
The tradition, the quality, and creativity are among the values that built the reputation of the company, 16 Rubans Bleus have been awarded to us by the jury of the Salon International de la Chocolaterie-Confiserie "Intersuc" since 1979.
At the beginning, the first product of range was the Pralines of provence almonds (made of roasted almonds and coated with nougatine). Quickly François Doucet offered a new range of product with an assortment of pâtes de fruits of apricots and pears from Provence. Today, the range is composed of three kinds of products :
The Pralines, the Pâtes de fruits, and the Fruits enrobes. The origin and the quality are essantial to choice of the fruits. In our supply of fruits, 70% of the fruit comes Provence or neihbouring regions. Works shops, storage area, offices and uses more than 5000 m2. Annual production is 430 tons of Pâtes de fruits and 300 tons of Chocolate Confiserie.
Our ERP (Entreprise Resource Planning) allows a very clear management of the storage and the traceability. This technology helps also the good management of economic, financial, human resources departments, and of the maintenance of our materials and productions procedures. moreover, it's an advantage to develop our relationship with customers.
Our commercial presence in France, Europe and across the world allows us to respond to the needs of our clients, many of whom are retailers (bakeries, pastry, confectionery, delicatessen...)
The classic range of products allows satisfying gourmets, and also can be adapted to specific requests from our customers. François Doucet is certified to make organic (BIO) pâtes de fruits.
