During the last 50 years, the medium and high speed diesel engines have become the established first choice main propulsion prime mover for many types of vessels.
S.E.M.T. Pielstick has largely contributed to this success.
With over 41 million kW in operation worldwide, S.E.M.T. Pielstick is a market leader of four stroke diesel engines :

- 3660 engines on-board Merchant ships including the most prestigious passengers vessels,

- 1560 engines operating in 653 vessels belonging to 42 countries,

- 11880 MW for the production of energy worldwide in diesel power plants,

- 6730 engines fitted on locomotives and dumpers.

Today, the S.E.M.T. Pielstick diesel engines'range starts at 480 kW with the PA high speed engines and reaches 26 500 kW with the PC medium speed engines.
Moreover, S.E.M.T. Pielstick is involved in emission regulation and all modern S.E.M.T. Pielstick diesel engines fulfil the IMO regulations. S.E.M.T. Pielstick is working to reduce further down the emission of its engines and with the HAM system obtains a 75% NOx reduction.

S.E.M.T. Pielstick underlines the importance of "Pielstick Service" which provides effective and economical support and increases the reliability of the clients' installations worldwide.
Through its Service Centers and worldwide network of Authorized Repairers, "Pielstick Service" supplies original spare parts and provides after-sales services at any time throughout the world.
