Jean Luc KRESS was born in 1949 in Metz in the east of France. After acquiring a bachelor degree in animal husbandry, he became the manager of a large Limousin breeding stock private estate.
Following this, he was employed by a French cooperative group of pedigree stock producers (ELPA) and managed the Laplaud testing station.Ten years later he was asked to come to the national level to help to start and to manage the LANAUD bull national testing station.
Jean Luc KRESS was subsequently appointed as well as the marketing manager of the export department of the Limousin breed working in close relationship with the president Louis de NEUVILLE.Jean Luc KRESS personal talents combined with his long experience with the Limousin breed account for his thorough knowledge and accurate evaluation of an animal's potential.

Jean Luc KRESS has judged many international shows in countries all over the world including : Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Holland, Italy, Scotland, England, Luxembourg, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

He is know, to organize reputable courses of judging to train new judges in France and in other countries.

Jean Luc KRESS has recently (1998) started his personal company : KBS GENETIC, semen, embryos, pedigree cattle sales, consulting for in some countries, French ministry of agriculture.
