Les Domaines Auriol is one of Languedoc’s leading producers and négociant. Based in Western Languedoc, at the heart of the Corbières appellation, the company was founded in 1995 by Claude Vialade, daughter of a prominent winemaker, Jean Vialade. Initially created to sell the wines made by the family’s three estates in Corbières, Les Domaines Auriol has evolved into a major producer and négociant, with an annual production of 10 million bottles, acting as a :
- A wine producer, relying on its estates in the Corbières appellation area
- A winemaker, vinifying wines in various parts of Languedoc and Southern France
- A négociant specializing in premium Châteaux and estates from Languedoc’s most prestigious areas.
The production today includes, in addition to the three family estates, a wide selection of Languedoc’s AOPs and IGPs, as well as Vin de France. Over the years wines from neighbouring regions were included, such as Bordeaux, Southwest and Rhône Valley, giving Les Domaines Auriol the ability to supply wines from most of Southern France’s area. Claude Vialade being of spanish descent, Les Domaines Auriol also became active with Spanish wines, through a fully-owned subsidiary located in Spain.
The company is fully ISO 9002 certified, and relies on three state-of-the-art bottling facilities, offering a great level of flexibility : from small bottling batches of specific cuvées and estates to large, cost-efficient bottlings. In addition to its own brands and cuvées (Cicéron, Saint Auriol, Vialade) Les Domaines Auriol has developed over the years a strong expertise in crafting blends and creating own-label wines.
A passionate winemaker, Claude Vialade followed the footsteps of her father, a famous pioneer in organic winemaking : Les Domaines Auriol is one of France’s leading producer of organic and biodynamic wines, and one the family’s estate, Montmija, is fully organic.
Les Domaines Auriol exports more than 90% of its production worldwide, including Europe, Asia, and America, with 20 years of experience in international trade procedures.
