Application Européenne de Technologies et de Services (AETS), created as an affiliate of APAVE SUDEUROPE in 1996, delivers technical assistance in the context of international development projects for Multilateral Lending Organisations and International Financial Institutions such as the European Commission, European Investment Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, World Bank, Regional Development Banks, United Nations, French Development Agency, German Development Agency, local institutions, private clients, etc. in the EU and worldwide.
AETS’ head office is based in France. AETS employs 45 full-time permanent staff. APAVE - AETS collectively has access to the resources and know-how of 9,500+ permanent staff, including 5,000+ engineers and technicians located in 150+ offices across the globe. AETS’ reach is global, with experience in 120+ countries. APAVE has 145 years’ experience as a State authorised Audit Verification Consultant in Energy and Industry.
AETS has an in-house multi-disciplinary team of internationally-experienced experts comprising financial and institutional analysts, economists, engineers, technicians, legal and regulatory specialists.

Energy, in particular electricity: Technical, economic, financial, legal and institutional feasibility studies in the different energy sub-sectors (electricity, gas, renewable energy technologies in particular); systems planning including infrastructure and operation, studies on rural electrification projects, energy efficiency, demand-side management and loss reduction; monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects. AETS is leader of an international consortium, holder of a Framework Contract (Lot 4) with the European Union, which includes consulting for technical assistance and expert assignments in the energy and nuclear safety sectors (2009-2013);
Banking, Finance and Funding for SME / Projects: Design and development of operational manuals credit, audit, conformance with regulatory reporting requirements, implementation of schemes funded bank "Bale" and the internal ratings of bank portfolios, and ALM. Personal financial credit risk and corporate finance (debt / equity / structured finance), credit to finance large projects, SMEs, and "global loans"(management of credit risk, credit and project financing, mezzanine financing and structured financing, technical support to guarantee funds);
Environmental Development: Expertise, advice and project management support to the public and private sectors for natural resource management and environmental development projects: ministries, watershed agencies, local and regional authorities, industries and socio-economic actors. Activities focus on the knowledge and multi-use of water resources, the sound management and economic promotion of the natural and socio-cultural heritages, the availability and mobilisation of food of good nutritional quality through a food security approach, and supporting businesses in the management of their social responsibility. AETS is a member of the AESA European Union Framework Contract Lot 1 (Rural Development and Food Security) consortium (2009-2013);
Economic development: Macro and microeconomic studies, strategic analyses, SME development support, support to international negotiations, the financial development of countries and the execution of market studies;
Quality assurance and standardisation: To provide its clients with innovative solutions, constructed around integrated approaches, AETS has extended its expertise to technical assistance, support, training on international standards and regulations (ISO 9001, 14000, 17025…) and European Directives. AETS guides its clients in their pre-certification (ISO 9001, ISO 14000) quality procedure and with the implementation of appropriate methods, organisation and tools;
Advanced technologies: Geo-information, spatial studies and development of customised applications using information, communication and GIS (Geographical Information System) technologies. AETS has specific skills in several spatial technology applications (tele-detection, data gathering) applied to the environment, agriculture, water, natural and industrial risk sectors. AETS recently assumed the lead of an international consortium initially led by IBM which carries out consultancy services in the field of new technologies (EC Contract Lot 3).
