In the Middle Ages already, Gonet was wine brokers in the beaujolais. In the XVth century, they rise in champagne, where they acquire ploughman's title. The generations follow one another until Charles Gonet decides in 1802 to base his own mark of Champagne. It is the birth of "Champagne Gonet". Then they were Théophile, Charles, Jacques, Michel which in every generation carried the development of the family-run company. In 1973, Michel Gonet decides to give a strong boost to the family institution. To be made, he modernizes and enlarges cellars being situated at the heart of the coast of the Whites to Avize. He buys a few years after the Castle of Vindey to organize receptions and contribute to the evolution of the historical heritage of the family. In the middle of the 80s, the vineyard extends over 40 hectares of vineyards, situated on the best soils champenois classified "Grand Cru".
Her three child Charles-Henri, Frédéric and Sophie took her succession.
