A Family Story
In 1820, Jean Dominique Laudet, back from the West Indies where he spent 20 years in the spices business, decides to realize his dream: spend the rest of his life producing the oldest alcohol of France, the Armagnac.
It is then that he acquires the Château de Laballe lied at the heart of Bas Armagnac, at the border of Landes and Gers departments, region that used to be called the Grand Bas Armagnac.

Since then, the passion is transmitted from father to son: Jean Dominique, Alexandre, Julien, Fernand, Robert, Noel, Christian at this day Cyril. keep over the years the family Know How, stamping each of them their signature.
The 8th Generation

Cyril Laudet grew up in the heart of the Domaine vines. He has always known which his vocation was: carry on writing the Laballe story initiated there are almost two centuries by Jean Dominique. In 2007 the child of Laballe sees his projects becoming concrete when his grandfather, Noël, pass him the torch. He is the 8th generation to take the Vignoble direction in the hand!
His wife, Julie, joins him two years later, seduced by Laballe’s universe and lifted by Cyril’s passion.

Their ambition is to pay tribute to the family ancestors perpetuating the Know How in the respect of traditions, bringing at the same time a modern touch inherent in their time and young ages that helps the Domaine evolution.
