Premiere Classe Designers meet with French glove makers

Morgane Verheecke - 09-mars-2011 04:58:46
For the fourth year, The French Trade Commission - Ubifrance in Australia will present a selection of talented French fashion designers at The Australia’s fashion premier tradeshow, Fashion Exposed – Preview. This event will take place from Sunday 6th to Tuesday 8th of March 2011 at The Sydney Exhibition & Convention Centre, Darling Harbour. For this occasion a unique glove exhibition will be showcasing on the French Pavilion. Initiated by the French Glove Federation and the CTC (Centre for the Economic Developpment of Leather, Footwear and Leathergoods) and PREMIERE CLASSE, 17 accessory designers have linked with 6 famous French glove makers (Agnelle, Atelier du Gantier, Gant Causse, Ganterie de Saint-Junien, Georges Morand et Lesdiguières Barnier) to design an exceptional model. The result of their imagination was then sent to the ateliers of six French glove makers. Using the noblest skins, the artisans used their know-how to serve the creativity of the designers. This collaboration between designers and glove makers is a way of promoting the know-how, originality and modernity of French made gloves. This union speaks for an exceptional quality and amazing boldness. Together, these artisans and designers have proved they were able to remain innovative in such a traditional field of expertise. Next edition at the MIDDLE EAST FASHION DAYS in October 2011. http://www.whosnextindubai.com/en/

Sans-Arcidet Collection Paris on Fashion Exposed - Preview Sydney

Morgane Verheecke - 09-mars-2011 03:13:15
For the fourth year, French Trade Commission - Ubifrance in Australia will present a selection of talented French fashion designers at Australia’s fashion premier tradeshow, Fashion Exposed – Preview. This event will take place from Sunday 6th to Tuesday 8th of March 2011 at The Sydney Exhibition & Convention Centre, Darling Harbour. For this occasion the brand Sans-Arcidet Collection Paris will be showcasing the latest trends on the French Pavilion. How is Sans-Arcidet different from all other labels you will find coming from France? For starters, the designer behind the much-loved label, Corinne Sans-Arcidet, doesn’t actually live in France. She has been living in Madagascar with her family for more than 8 years and it is from there she designs and manufactures her products, having set a unique production scheme involving hundreds of local women. It is her two sisters, Myriam and Sylvie, who oversee the brand and marketing operations from their office and showroom in Paris, and manage their beautiful boutique in the fashionable Marais district. Then there are the techniques used to produce the collections—traditional local raffia weaving techniques are skilfully combined with a distinct French design aesthetic, including embellishments using embroidery, quality leather, cotton, wool and denim - to create coveted seasonal collections of brightly coloured bags, baskets, hats and accessories, and soon, home wares. With such a unique “ethno-chic” style, it is no wonder Sans-Arcidet’s collections are being adopted by a growing number of stores all over the world including Le Bon Marche, Takashimaya, Barneys, Daimaru, and Mitsukoshi. The Sans-Arcidet Collection Paris Spring-Summer 2011 collection integrates new shapes and styles that have proved hugely popular in Europe and are likely to delight Australian fashion and lifestyle boutiques. http://www.fashionexposed.com/french-designers.html
