130 French companies will be taking part in Arab Health-Medlab, from January 25-28, 2016. With 1,440 m 2 in exhibition space across 2 halls, 1 entirely dedicated to laboratory equipment and diagnostics, and expanding every year, the international trade show for medical systems offers a prime venue from them to show off their know-how. Business France – the National Agency for the Internationalization of French Business which supports them, has reported record-high registration levels for this years event.       The French medical equipment industry is powered by cutting-edge companies, 94% of which are SMEs, or even VSEs. French manufacturers are geared at diagnostic imaging tools, disposable systems, implants, prostheses and orthotics. Their innovative tools are used in two main growth markets: aging surgery and plastic surgery. They also enjoy wide recognition in the fields of technical assistance, minimally-invasive surgery and in-vitro diagnostics. On the international front, they are further borne by the French health systems positive image and leading authorities in medicine. This has brought about real cooperation between Frances manufacturers and medical-surgical teams, both in R&D and in actual use of the devices produced. Frances manufacturers are generally positioned on high-technology niche markets (IVD and implants). Highly dynamic, they also meet every ethical and regulatory requirement on safety and quality.   As the not-to miss event in the Near and Middle East, Arab Health-Medlab attracts more and more manufacturers each year, from all over France, with a uniquely innovative offer; one-third of them are participating for the first time. Exhibiting in both halls, they will be unveiling their latest in products for orthopedics (surgical implants for bone surgery, prosthetics, digestive surgery), diagnostics (biopsy tools, reactants and laboratory equipment, blood analyzers), consumables and equipment for health-care establishments, air treatment (air decontamination and filtering), waste treatment, hospital supplies (medical equipment and furniture: beds, carts) and in-home care (home stay, patient transfer).       With the help of regional partners such as CENTRECO, Lille Eurasanté, Biomédical Alliance and, for the first time, the Aquitaine Region, all on-site at the France Pavilion each with some ten companies of its own, Frances latest in innovation will be center-stage at the 2016 Arab Health Show. Their technical expertise perfectly aligns with a local market that is highly-demanding and currently burgeoning in these fields.       For further information :   Contact:   Malika HACHEMI Project Manager Business France Tel: +33 (0)1 40 73 35 70 Courriel :       Press:   Miryem Oukas Mobile: +971 56 957 66 13

Eutelsat and Facebook

Mascha Paulin - 25-nov.-2015 16:39:47
Two companies to build a High Throughput Satellite system using dedicated broadband capacity on Spacecom AMOS-6 satellite                   Paris, 5 October 2015  – Eutelsat Communications (NYSE Euronext Paris: ETL) and Facebook today announce they are partnering on a new initiative that will leverage satellite technologies to get more Africans online. Under a multi-year agreement with Spacecom, the two companies will utilise the entire broadband payload on the future AMOS-6 satellite and will build a dedicated system comprising satellite capacity, gateways and terminals. In providing reach to large parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, Eutelsat and Facebook will each be equipped to pursue their ambition to accelerate data connectivity for the many users deprived of the economic and social benefits of the Internet.   Spot beams for community and Direct-to-User access   Scheduled for start of service in the second half of 2016, the Ka-band payload on the AMOS-6 geostationary satellite is configured with high gain spot beams covering large parts of West, East and Southern Africa. The capacity is optimised for community and Direct-to-User Internet access using affordable, off-the-shelf customer equipment. According to the terms of the agreement, the capacity will be shared between Eutelsat and Facebook.   State of the art satellite technology to meet pent-up demand   Using state of the art satellite technology, Eutelsat and Facebook will each deploy Internet services designed to relieve pent-up demand for connectivity from the many users in Africa beyond range of fixed and mobile terrestrial networks. Satellite networks are well suited to economically connecting people in low to medium density population areas and the high throughput satellite architecture of AMOS-6 is expected to contribute to additional gains in cost efficiency.   Eutelsat steps up Internet activity in Africa   The capacity will enable Eutelsat to step up its broadband activity in Sub-Saharan Africa that was initiated using Ku-band satellites to serve professional users. Eutelsat is establishing a new company based in London that will steer its African broadband vision and business. The company will be led by Laurent Grimaldi, founder and former CEO of Tiscali International Network, and will focus on serving premium consumer and professional segments.   Commenting on the agreement, Michel de Rosen, Eutelsat Chairman and CEO, said:  “We are excited by this opportunity to accelerate the deployment of our broadband strategy and to partner with Facebook on a new initiative to provide Internet access services in Africa. Eutelsat’s strong track record in operating High Throughput Satellite systems will ensure that we can deliver accessible and robust Internet solutions that get more users online and part of the Information Society.”   Eutelsat sur :   Eutelsat, website :   Source :

#CHOOSE – Shoes your colour!

Mascha Paulin - 19-nov.-2015 15:56:31
Retail / Marketing     #CHOOSE – Shoes your colour! The winner of the call for projects issued by the French Ministry of Foreign Trade and the Treasury Department (DGT) in 2014, the consortium of Eiffage, Egis and Engie presented on Monday, October 19, the urban design digital tool "Astainable®" aimed at the export of the French knowhow in sustainable city development under the Vivapolis brand. Based on the 3D-model of the city of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, Astainable® digital tool displays a wide range of the French solutions adapted to the needs of the city and contributing to reducing the ecological footprint while considering all the peculiarities of the local territory. Astainable® incorporates 350 French technical, industrial or engineering solutions in the areas, such as ecological transport, energy, smart city, responsible water and waste management and sustainable construction. The pressure on sustainable city can be explained by three urgent needs: - environmental, as a consequence of global rapid urbanization with an additional 2.5 billion citizen dwellers by 2050 ; - social, derived from the urban migration triggered by the economic growth; - economic, which requires to build faster and cheaper. Créative France

Business France - 23-oct.-2015 16:37:46
THE STORY BEHIND CREATIVE FRANCE Créative France is the story of accentuating the ‘creative’, both literally and figuratively. It’s the story of a different approach, of the spark ignited by phrases and by words and images. It’s the story of an airliner that gains a second deck, of a coding school that becomes a nexus for learning, of a pastry that is coveted like a precious jewel. It’s the story of a strong visual identity that is at once bold, elegant, prominent, modern, dynamic, surprising, flexible and unifying. It’s the story of a creative, unconventional campaign that highlights our country’s full range of strengths, skills and savoir-faire. And for good reason – France is at the forefront of technology, design, industry and education, to name but a few sectors. It’s the story of France today: solid fundamentals enhanced by an outstanding ability to innovate and a constant push to break new ground. Equal parts playful and serious-minded, France bucks convention while reaching for the top. France has appeal… and creativity!   For more information on Créative France, please visit:
